Marriott International has launched Your Culinary Affair in Singapore. You get matched to 17 restaurants from eight of Marriott International Group of hotels here. The Culinary Matchmaker, an online profiling quiz at www.yourculinaryaffair.com is tailored to match your dining profiles to restaurants.
Answer seven questions such as your favourite vacation spot, your guilty pleasure, your ideal night out, what do you need after a long day, where do you like to go on Sundays, what is your ideal date night and what does a celebration with friends look like. Answer all seven questions, and you will be matched to a profile.
I gave it a try and the matchmaker decided that I have a discerning palate, and I am sophisticated. There was a description of the Sophisticated diner and was given three options to choose from.
“With a refined palette, the Sophisticated can tell the difference between champignon from France and fungo from Italy. Elegant and refined is their style, the Sophisticated enjoys exquisite flavours and appreciate presentation with finesse. The tinkling of glasses and “merci beaucoup” are sounds that often follow behind them.”
Five dining profiles have already been preset including Adventurer, Classicist, Fun Lover, Hands On and Sophisticated. Make your reservations through this platform and you may just get to enjoy uniquely created and complimentary Chef’s specials.
Participating restaurants include Akira Back, Beach Road Kitchen, Brasserie Les Saveurs, Colony, Cook & Brew, LaBrezza, Latest Recipe, Madame Fan, Marriott Café, Pool Grill, Seasonal Tastes, SKIRT, Sky 22, Summer Pavilion, kitchen table, Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant and Yan Ting.
Your Culinary Affair Restaurant Week
15 to 24 June 2018 is Your Culinary Affair Restaurant Week. Each participating restaurant will offer Chef’s specials and interactive F&B experiences such as art jamming sessions at Akira Black, beef tartare making at SKIRT, a pairing menu at Summer Pavillion, a special Barman’s tasting menu at Cook & Brew and a Chef’s special tasting menu accompanied by a Guqin performance at Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant.
