18 September 2011, Singapore – Starbucks VIA Ready Brew is an instant coffee made from the same high quality coffee beans found at your neighbourhood Starbucks stores. Requiring just hot or cold water, a cup of aromatic and rich flavour coffee can be made in an instant wherever you go.
Portioned into single serve packets, Starbucks VIA Ready Brew is sold in packs of three or twelve and is available in two flavours — bold, nutty Colombia and smooth, rich Italian Roast. Decaf Italian Roast is also available.
By the end of this month, all Starbucks stores in Asia will be selling Starbucks VIA Ready Brew. In Singapore, Starbucks VIA Ready Brew can be purchased at all Starbucks stores for S$3.90 (3 sticks pack) and S$13.90 (12 sticks pack).
For people on the go, you can also purchase the 12oz Starbucks VIA tumbler, which comes with a compartment to store six sticks of Starbucks VIA Ready Brew, retailing at S$32.90 (coffee sticks not included).
After note from the editor (Adrian): I was recently in New York City after being introduced to Starbuck’s VIA Ready Brew in Singapore. I had to get my fix of familiar coffee – a Starbucks Skinny Latte and couldn’t help it but buy back a few VIA blends that are not available in Singapore when I visited Starbucks Store #7611 at 360 Lexington Avenue in New York.
I picked up the VIA 6ct Vanilla Flavoured Coffee for US$6.95, VIA 6ct Mocha Flavoured Coffee for US$6.95, VIA 12pk French Roast Extra Bold for US$9.95 and a VIA 3ct Decaf Italian Roast Extra Bold for US$2.95.
And I just realized the Vanilla Flavoured VIA Ready Brew I picked up is best before 3 August 2011. Hmmm… Let this be an important lesson to myself. Always check the expiry dates.
Oh! By the way, Starbucks in New York serves interesting flavours that I didn’t get the time to try out. Have you heard of Pumpkin Spice Latte or Salted Caramel Mocha. Well, I hope to try out these limited time fall favourites some day.
