TripAdvisor reveals this year’s Travellers’ Choice awards for restaurants around the world. There are 356 restaurants including the top 25 in the world as well as dedicated lists by regions. The award is based on reviews and opinions of TripAdvisor travellers worldwide.
TripAdvisor used an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews for restaurants around the world over a 12-month period to determine the winners.
Asia’s number 1 restaurant went to Chef Yoshihiro Narisawa’s exclusive 25-seater Narisawa in Tokyo which serves modern French dishes inspired by nature and infused with Japanese flavours. It is also ranked eighth in the world.
Bali is a popular tourist destination and it is not surprising that Indonesia’s top 10 restaurants are in Bali. Restaurant Locavore, which only uses local and sustainably sourced ingredients, took the top spot and third spot on TripAdvisor’s Asia list.
