9 December 2011, Singapore – Come 22 December 2011, those living in the East will have another new cinema. Golden Village will open it’s 10th cinema, GV Katong filling the void of an anchoring cinema which has been left vacant for nearly 20 years.
The Cinema will be a unique Peranakan-inspired movie destination with contemporary charm located in the new 112 Katong Mall. With eight cinema auditoriums, six traditional halls with stadium seating, digital projection and sound, as well as wall-to-wall screens, GV will introduce two of the latest redefined, super-luxurious Gold Class auditoriums.
The total seating capacity at GV Katong will be 924 seats that includes 56 Gold Class cinema recliners. Gold Class patrons can enjoy Pernakan cuisine including Otak Samosas, Assam Fish with fragrant Basmati Rice, Nonya Kueh delicacies as well as Chef Chris Foo’s signature western dishes.
