Today Xiaomi just announced the launch of Xiaomi 12 series smartphones to the global markets outside of China. The series will feature three devices – Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X. All of them look pretty much the same from the back. Confused about which one is better for you?
Well all of them will come with 120Hz AdaptiveSync AMOLED DotDisplay with 12 Pro having a 6.73″ WQHD+ display and 12/12X having a 6.28″ Full HD display. All models will feature SOUND BY Harman Kardon, and create an immersive audio experience powered by Dolby Atmos, delivering spatial sound with rich detail, clarity, and realism across all your favourite entertainment. 12 Pro will have quad speakers consists of two tweeters and two woofers for even better sound reproduction.
Only Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12 will have the latest and ultra high-performance Qualcomm SnapDragon 8 Gen 1 4nm processor shipped with the latest Android 12. The Xiaomi 12X will be using the 7nm Qualcomm SnapDragon 870 processor shipped with Android 11.
Camera-wise, the Xiaomi 12 Pro will be the most superior of the lot. Featuring a cutting-edge Sony IMX707 50MP ultra-large main camera sensor, as well as 50MP sensor for both the ultra-wide and telephoto cameras. This may be the best camera system Xiaomi has built into a smartphone. Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12X feature a non-Sony 50MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide angle camera, along with a 5MP tele-macro camera, for filming life from different perspectives.
Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro will also have Xiaomi’s proprietary AI algorithms to help you record the best moments even in low-light or for moving subjects. Xiaomi ProFocus intelligently identifies and tracks objects, preventing blurring or out-of-focus shots of moving or veiled subjects.
Xiaomi 12 Pro will have 120W HyperCharge that can fully charge the phone in 18 minutes in boost mode and 24 minutes in standard mode. Xiaomi 12 and 12X will still have 67W turbocharging which is already very fast for a full charge in 37 minutes.
So if you want the best of everything, then the Xiaomi 12 Pro is the way to go. Xiaomi 12 will be great for those who want a fast processor for gaming and photography is not as important for you.
