AMTD Deflags Oakwood serviced apartment in Shenton Way to Rebrand to Dao by Dorsett AMTD IDEA Singapore

Dao by Dorsett announces its first property in Asia. Dao by Dorsett AMTD IDEA Singapore is owned by DHI Downtown Pte Ltd, a joint-venture company of AMTD Assets Alpha Group under the AMTD Group Inc and Dorsett Hospitality International Limited. The property rebrands from Oakwood Premier AMTD Singapore on 1 July 2022.

The luxury serviced residences and hotel along Shenton Way was initially owned by OUE and sold in 2019 to joint venture firms formed by Hong Kong financial services firm AMTD Group and Hong Kong-based hotel operator Dorsett Hospitality International. It was rebranded from Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore to Oakwood Premier AMTD Singapore. Below is a video of our stay in 2017 when the property was still Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore.

According to a press release from Oakwood, it has successfully concluded a five-year management agreement with DHI Downtown Pte Ltd, an affiliate of Dorsett Hospitality International. Oakwood Premier AMTD Singapore successfully launched the brand’s Oakwood Premier Mobile Bar concept and partnerships such as the Klook x McDelivery: Happiest Night-In Staycation. Oakwood Studios Singapore will be the only Oakwood property in Singapore after the rebranding of Oakwood Premier AMTD Singapore to Dao by Dorsett. Oakwood also has two properties here, under The Unlimited Collection by Oakwood featuring shophouse properties including Wanderlust and Ann Siang House.

There are 268 fully serviced apartment units with studio, one- to three-bedroom options, two dining destinations and a pool deck that overlooks downtown Singapore and the upcoming Greater Southern Waterfront.

DHI Downtown has appointed Roy Liang as the General Manager of Dao by Dorsett AMTD IDEA Singapore. Roy has been with the property since pre opening. He and his team will spearhead several new initiatives at Dao by Dorsett AMTD IDEA Singapore, including a deeper integration into the local community, exciting chef pop-ups at the pool deck, wellness-focused offers and a number of art and community tie-ups.
