Capella at Galaxy Macau Opens With 95 Ultra-Luxury Suites and Penthouses

Capella at Galaxy Macau has opened in Cotai, introducing a residential-style hotel positioned as the most private accommodation within the Galaxy Macau integrated resort. The property contains 95 suites and penthouses and targets travellers seeking seclusion and personalised service rather than scale.

Designed by Paris studio Moinard Bétaille, the architecture draws from rainforest forms with curved structures, filtered light and layered greenery replacing traditional grand interiors. The lobby centres around a Tree of Life installation, surrounded by water features and a multi-sensory LED artwork by Hong Kong artist Laura Cheung. Glass sculptures by Lasvit and hand-finished jungle wall coverings appear throughout the property. Guests complete check-in inside their suites rather than at a reception counter.

Entry level suites begin at 128 square metres. The largest four-bedroom penthouses span roughly 700 square metres and include outdoor terraces with private infinity pools overlooking Hengqin Island. Residences incorporate winter garden lounges, media rooms with karaoke systems and wellness spaces fitted with Technogym equipment. Selected units also include dedicated children’s rooms. Every stay includes a 24-hour butler, in-suite packing service, complimentary minibar, Chinese tea sets and Santa Maria Novella amenities.

The hotel deploys Capella Culturists who organise tailored programmes connected to Macau’s heritage, ranging from tea ceremonies and baijiu tastings to art tours, culinary workshops and private helicopter excursions. The approach replaces traditional concierge recommendations with pre-planned itineraries shaped around guest preferences.

Three dining venues open with the property. Pony & Plume operates as a whisky and cocktail bar holding more than 650 labels and serving smoke-infused drinks. Botanica is a 48-seat restaurant led by Executive Chef Stephen Hsu serving international comfort dishes with Asian influence. Later in 2026, Hong Kong chef Vicky Cheng will introduce a modern French fine dining restaurant within the hotel.

Guests retain full access to Galaxy Macau’s wider facilities, including its large pool complex, shopping promenade and entertainment venues, while remaining separated from the resort’s main circulation areas.
