The Great World Residences Apartments
Room to roam and then some. We made ourselves at home in a fully furnished three-bedder that clocks in at 111 sqm, perfect for a party of five or six. You’ve got proper living and dining zones (because eating on the sofa is so last year).
The master bedroom’s got its own ensuite. A proper pampering zone complete with both a tub for soaking and a separate rain shower for a quick splash-and-dash. You’ll find 67ml bottles of ANYAH shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner waiting for you, all part of a minimalist, eco-chic lineup crafted with top-tier ingredients. And yes, that dreamy scent? It’s their signature blend—subtle, fragrant, and a little bit spa-like, if we’re being honest. There’s also a second bathroom in the living area, fully equipped with a shower and WC, perfect for guests or quick freshen-ups.
The kitchen is kitted out with all the good stuff. including a full-sized fridge, Nespresso machine for your caffeine fix, microwave, dishwasher for the lazy days, and enough cookware and crockery to feed a small army. Ready to whip up a feast.
Pop downstairs to the Great World next door. There are Cold Storage and Meidi-ya supermarkets ready to rescue your cravings.
Housekeeping is provided twice a week between 9am and 5pm, excluding Sundays and Public Holidays. For added convenience, the rubbish chute is located within the kitchen’s adjoining wash area. That’s where the washing machine and dryer are located too.
Recreation at Great World Residence
Take advantage of the extensive on-site facilities. Level three features a swimming pool, steam room, tennis and half basketball courts, as well as a new pickleball court. For alfresco dining, you can reserve a BBQ pit for S$120 (before taxes) in five-hour slots.
Little ones can stay entertained too, with a playground, playroom, reading corner, and tots play zone open daily from 9am to 7pm.
Over on level two, the 24-hour gym lets you squeeze in a workout whenever it suits you. Even during late-night bouts of insomnia. The Lounge on the same level is open 7am to 10pm. It can be booked at S$100 per hour before taxes. Need a meeting space? The meeting room is available at S$40 per hour before taxes. A Starbucks self-serve kiosk also dispenses hot and iced drinks at a lower price than typical Starbucks outlets.
Other clever perks? You’ll get a handy mobile app to boss around your service requests, RSVP for swanky events, catch important updates, and snag residents-only deals. Plus, you’ll rack up Great Rewards or Shangri-La Circle Points just by living your best life here.
Sustainability and recycling
One thing that really impressed us? The recycling setup at Great World Residence. There’s a dedicated recycling point for residents, with separate bins for different items, including one just for Nespresso capsules. That’s extremely thoughtful.
Since every apartment comes with a Nespresso machine, this saves you the hassle of trekking to a boutique just to drop off used pods. Simple, smart, and something we haven’t seen at other serviced residences in Singapore.
Shop, Eat and Drink
Dining out is convenient. Cross the road to Zion Riverside Food Centre and feast like you mean it. Think greasy-charred kway teow, slurpy prawn noodles, saucy braised duck, plump xiao long bao, and icy cheng tng to round off your food coma. Go on, your diet can wait.
And if you’re feeling lazy or just need air-conditioning, Great World’s packed with delicious options too. Popping over to Great World City couldn’t be simpler. Hop into the lift straight to the basement carpark, or slip out through the private gate, and you’ll find yourself right by Da Paolo and Pet Lovers Centre.
