The Lufthansa Group – Singapore Airlines Joint Venture welcomes Brussels Airlines

Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines Strengthen Asia–Europe Network with Brussels Airlines

The Lufthansa Group and Singapore Airlines have announced an expansion of their successful Joint Venture, with the inclusion of Brussels Airlines. This strategic move, published on 6 October 2025, strengthens the collaboration between the two airline groups and enhances connectivity between Europe and the Asia Pacific region.

From 26 October 2025, customers can book Brussels Airlines-coded flights between Singapore and Brussels, operated by Singapore Airlines. This new codeshare opens smoother and more flexible travel options between Singapore, Belgium and onward destinations across Europe. The move reflects both airlines’ shared commitment to offering travellers in Asia Pacific a seamless and integrated travel experience.

According to Felipe Bonifatti, Lufthansa Group Vice President Asia Pacific and Joint Ventures East, “The Asia Pacific region is home to more Lufthansa Group Joint Ventures than anywhere else in the world. The integration of Brussels Airlines into our Joint Venture with Singapore Airlines underlines our commitment to offering customers in APAC greater choice and seamless connectivity across Europe. This step is a natural progression of our long-standing partnership with Singapore Airlines.”

The Lufthansa Group–Singapore Airlines Joint Venture, now in its eighth year, offers joint fares across seven countries and 26 destinations. The expanded partnership also extends to intermodal feeder routes, such as train and bus connections to Lufthansa Group’s European hubs, giving travellers more flexibility for multi-city itineraries.

This development marks a natural evolution of a collaboration that began in 2017. The framework’s expansion creates opportunities for additional subsidiaries from both the Lufthansa Group and Singapore Airlines Group to join in the future, further broadening network access between Europe and Asia Pacific.
