Samsung has collaborated with National Heritage Board, NParks with the support of Singapore National Commission for UNESCO to develop CULTURE EXPLORER, a new mobile application to help you appreciate Singapore’s Heritage.
CULTURE EXPLORER currently lets you explore the National Museum of Singapore, Singapore Botanical Gardens and Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall. Raffles Hotel and Arts House will be added to the app in July 2015.
The app lets you see how these heritage sites looked like in the past and allows you to take photos of yourself to superimpose into these old photos. You will also be able to learn about these heritage landmarks with the app’s augmented reality technology by pointing and reading with the app.
Singapore is the pilot country for the app before it is rolled out to other countries in the region including Malaysia, Thailand and other nations.
