Singapore Airlines to operate daily direct A350-900 flights to Hangzhou from June 2026

Singapore Airlines will add Hangzhou to its scheduled passenger services from 1 June 2026. Operating the A350-900 medium-haul aircraft, SQ838 will depart Singapore daily at 5.40pm and arrive in Hangzhou at 10.50pm the same day. The return flight, SQ839, will depart Hangzhou at 12.10am and arrive in Singapore at 5.10am.

The A350-900 medium-haul aircraft is fitted with 303 seats: 40 in Business Class and 263 in Economy Class. Scoot, Singapore Airlines’ low-cost subsidiary, currently operates daily flights.

This will be SIA’s ninth destination in China, after
Beijing Daxing. Together, the SIA Group serves 22 destinations in mainland China. From 1 June 2026, SIA will operate to nine destinations in mainland China: Beijing (Capital), Beijing (Daxing), Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Xiamen. Scoot will operate to 15 destinations in mainland China: Changsha, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Haikou, Hangzhou, Kunming, Nanjing, Nanning, Qingdao, Shantou, Shenyang, Tianjin, Wuhan, Xi’an, and Zhengzhou.

Longjing Tea

Hangzhou, located in China’s Yangtze River Delta, is recognised as a key tourist destination and commercial centre. The city is known for landmarks such as the UNESCO-listed West Lake, Longjing tea plantations, and a range of historic temples and pagodas. It also functions as a major hub for technology and e-commerce, while serving as a gateway to Zhejiang province.
