The 366-room property, launched January 2026, transforms the former Crowne Plaza Kowloon East into a contemporary urban resort designed as a calm retreat within the city.
While it may not be located within Hong Kong’s bustling city centre, The Royal Garden Kowloon East offers a quiet, contemporary, resort-style getaway near the scenic Tseung Kwan O. Central and Kowloon is just a 30-minute MTR ride away.

Developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties, the hotel carries the brand’s understated elegance but adapts it for modern travellers. Interiors draw from nature, combining warm wood finishes and airy layouts while focusing heavily on family-friendly and pet-friendly stays.

Accommodation ranges from interconnected family rooms and bunk-bed studios to multi-room suites for groups. The highlight is a set of seven private garden villas with a Balinese aesthetic, suitable for guests travelling with pets.
