Are you really working when you are in the office or are you secretly booking your next vacation? Well that’s exactly what the folks at Hotels.com wanted to find out through a recent survey of 160 Singaporean residents.
70 percent of respondents admitted to pretending to work or respond to emails in front of their bosses when they were actually planning social activities. The survey revealed that the impetus for this behaviour is the result of upcoming long holidays.
In fact there has been spike in activity between the hours of four to six in the afternoon on the Hotels.com mobile app.
Research on accommodation takes up most time for holiday makers (37%). 70 percent of respondents also use smartphones to research or book a holiday while travelling on the bus, train or any other mode of public transport. 20 percent of respondents research or book a holiday during social gatherings while 12 percent admitted to doing this in the toilet.
The Hotels.com app is available for the iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone, Android and Symbian devices.
