The next time you are in a hurry to grab a cab from Shaw Centre and you need your coffee fix or something to munch, you can quickly grab something from Cocoa Colony which is located at the side entrance near the taxi pick up and drop off area opposite Pacific Plaza. There is hardly any space for dining in except for a small area that can accommodate around five to six people comfortably.
First open in Hu-Bin Road in Shanghai in 2013, Cocoa Colony now has five outlets in Shanghai and is expanding aggressively with its first Singapore outlet which opened in December last year. It has plans to open up 12 outlets in Singapore this year. We understand from Cocoa Colony’s website that a new outlet opened at #01-08 The Cathay on 24 April and another outlet is opening early May at #02-737 Suntec City Mall.
It also has plans to open in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and London in the next few years.
Cocoa Colony is a chocolate café that serves up cocoa beverages, crafted chocolate bars and lava flowing hot chocolate sauce as well as delectable sandwiches as well as other pastries.
But the highlight of Cocoa Colony is their beverages. Some of its signature creations include chocolate drinks such as cocoa 100, cocoa 76, cocoa 38, cocoa with Baileys or Cointreau, Cocoa Colony gelato made from peanut butter with signature chocolate sauce and the Amazonian Liquid Gold available in milk, dark and white chocolate respectively.
Cocoa beverages are priced from S$6 while coffee and tea are priced from S$4. Smoothies and Fizzy drinks are also available from S$7.
Cocoa Colony at #01-06 Shaw Centre operates from 8am to 10pm from Mondays to Saturdays and 9am to 9pm on Sundays. Worth dropping by to check them out.
