Audi Fashion Festival Singapore 2012 Returns in May

14 March 2012, Singapore – The fourth edition of the annual Audi Fashion Festival (AFF) is set to return to the Tent@Orchard at the Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza from 16 to 20 May 2012.

The face of Audi Fashion Festival this year is 16 year old Elite Model Look 2011 winner Fiona Fussi.   Check her out during the Elite Model Look last year here.

Themed ‘Lighting the Future’, this year’s festival activities will include:

Thierry Mugler Autumn/Winter 2012 with Creative Director Nicola Formichetti

Formichetti’s stint as the Fashion Director of Haus of Gaga (Lady Gaga)and stylist to Lady Gaga has brought him to popularity and fame. He was also awarded the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator at the British Fashion Awards in 2010. He is also the Contributing Editor of Dazed and Confused Magazine and fashion director of Vogue Hommes Japan. The Thierry Mugler show will open the festival on 16 May.

Roland Mouret Autumn/Winter 2012 with Designer, Roland Mouret

This French designer is known for his hourglass creations such as the galaxy or moon dress. His designs are popular with Nicole Kidman, Sienna Miller and Victoria Beckham. Mouret mentored Victoria when she began designing her own dress collection.

Future Fashion Now is a new online fashion portal that let’s you order the latest runway designs and pre-collections and have your orders custom-produced for delivery before the next season hits the stores. There will be at least four shows that will have FFN during the AFF.

Live Streaming of the shows will continue at this year’s AFF.

Returning Chairman Dick Lee will spearhead the formation of The Collective to incubate and create opportunities for a group of four to five young Singapore designers (including Max Tan and Mae Pang) to help them take the next big step in their careers.

A new generation of talent will be given the platform to feature their designers in the Parco Next NEXT showcase. Audi Star Creation 2011 winners, Chen Zhigang, Tiang Boon Tieon and Tsai Ming Hung will present their collection.
