Action-comedy musical CHEF takes Singapore by storm with a brand new adaptation, CHEF: Bibimbap vs Chilli Crab. Creator of CHEF, NANTA and BEAT, Mr Choi Chul Ki will once again take on the role as director, and lead a strong cast of South Korean talents and local twin starlets, Jayley and Hayley Woo. This original production is a uniqueĝ non-verbal comedy filled with tons of singing, dancing, acrobatics and slapstick moments. Audiences will also be treated to a Chili Crab Tart* made specially by RWS Executive Pastry Chef Kenny Kong! Making it’s global debut on 10 June 2017, it will run till 22 July 2017 at the Resorts World Theatre. The unassuming stage of Resorts World Theatre will be creatively transformed into a kitchen, where two teams of chef will pit against different cuisines against each other. The story leads us to the final cook-off to unveil the pride of their respective signature dishes; bibimbap and chili crab.
Throughout the performance, Jayley and Hayley will be taking on the role of the bubbly, Cutie Chef. They will be showing off their singing talents as a soprano with multiple characters. They expressed their excitement in taking part in this cross-country theatrical production, gleefully revealing their love for the Korean wave. Starring alongside them will be the show’s music director and Sexy Chef, Ko Eun Hee and the pugilistic Green Chef, Woo Young Wook.
The talented twins will be off to Korea to train until the global debut on 10 June 2017. They have already given the media a quick performance, quickly put together after two hours. The camaraderie between the cast is electrifying, and we can’t wait to see what they pick up from their training!
