Louis XIII cognac celebrates its 140th anniversary and launches a worldwide digital campaign “Quest For A Legend” searching for the rarest Louis XIII decanter in Singapore, Malaysia, India and the Philippines from 3 February to 31 March 2015.

Louis XIII was created in 1874 and set its footprint in the US in 1876 and Asia in 1881. Containing a complex blend of 1,200 eaux-de-vie in an exquisite decanter, this luxurious cognac has been enjoyed for over a century.

Quest for A Legend will start in Singapore, Malaysia, India and the Philippines before moving on to other parts of the world.  #QuestforaLegend and #LouisXII

The packaging for Louis XIII has also evolved since the birth of the cognac. In the late 1930s, Louis XIII was sold in red velvet boxes. In 1940s and 1950s, Louis XIII was sold in Europe in a wicker basket while in the US a green velvet box was used. The packaging was then changed into a white box then a red, oval box in 1960s. A red octagonal box was introduced in 1970s and in the 80s and 90s, a red treasure chest was introduced. The current Fluer de Lys Crystal stopper was introduced in the 1980s.
