Malaysia Airlines launched a new Laksa Bar at the Golden Lounges in Kuala Lumpur International Airport since 7 December 2015. Four varieties of this classic noodle dish will be rotated weekly at the Golden Lounges at the Satellite, Regional (in the Main Terminal Building) and Domestic Golden Lounges. Laksa will be available from 6am to 11pm daily.
The Curry Laksa is a hit with some 1,500 bowls of egg noodles with a fragrant curry broth with chicken, prawn, tofu puffs, bean sprouts and mint leaves prepared daily.
Laksa Johor comes from the southern state of Johor featuring spaghetti in thick fish broth garnished with bean sprouts, long beans, cucumber julienne served with spicy sambal.
Penang Asam Laksa features thick rice noodles in a spicy and sour fish broth perfumed with Bunga Kantan (Ginger Flower), topped with pineapple, cucumber, onion, chilli and mint in a tasty prawn paste.
Laksa Sarawak is a rice vermicelli dish served in a spicy coconut gravy with julienne of omelette, shredded chicken, prawns and coriander.
These four laksa dishes allow Malaysia Airlines to showcase Malaysia’s diversity in flavours with Laksa from different regions within Malaysia.
In addition to the Laksa noodles, Wonton noodles and a vegetarian noodle soup are also available. And if you prefer rice, the very popular Nasi Lemak is also available.
Access to the Golden Lounge at KLIA is for Malaysia Airlines First and Business Class customers, Enrich Gold and Platinum Members as well as oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members travelling on oneworld operated fights.
