The restaurant is known for its contemporary western cuisine with a pronounced Sichuan influence.

The Mala Chicken Floss, Salted Egg Yolk with Low Sugar White Lotus Paste Mooncake features a medley of Sichuan spices that imparts a pleasant mild spicy note that elevates the salted egg yolk’s savouriness. The chicken floss offers incredible mouthfeel.

The Single Yolk Macadamia Nuts with Low Sugar White Lotus Pate Mooncake has a rich, buttery taste of the macadamia nuts as well as the delicate note of the lotus paste.

Every box of four mooncakes is priced at S$68. Each box comes with two pieces of the Mala Chicken Floss, Salted Egg with Low Sugar White Lotus Paste Mooncake and two pieces of the Single Yolk Macadamia Nuts with Low Sugar White Lotus Paste Mooncakes.

Capitol Kempinksi Hotel Mooncakes

The Capitol Kempinski offers five Snowskin flavours including the Strawberry Snowskin, Champagne Truffle Snowskin, Mini Valrhona & Plantation 1840 Truffle Mooncake, Lychee Rose and Mao Shan Wang Durian. Collin’s debuts festive gifting with baked mooncakes this year. A box of four is priced at S$68 net with a fixed selection of mooncake flavours. They include the White Lotus Paste with Single Egg Yolk, Red Bean Paste with Single Egg Yolk, White Lotus Paste and Black Sesame Paste.

The mooncakes are housed in a box of ‘drawers’ and cutlery provided include a metal knife and folks.

Crowne Plaza Changi Airport’s mooncake collection features timeless classics and new Asian-inspired creations. Snows skin mooncakes are packaged in vibrant plum box while traditional baked mooncakes are packaged in the royal blue box.

The are five variations of traditional baked mooncake – White Lotus Orange Paste with Melon seeds, White Lotus Paste with Double Yolk, White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, Low Sugar White Lotus Paste with Macadamia Nuts and Nyonya Mixed Nuts baked mooncakes.

Crystal Jade introduces a new selection of Hong Kong-inspired snowskin mooncakes packaged in understated yet elegant boxes with a lush velvet cover in a deep burgundy red or regal jade green hue.

This year GODIVA’s 2021 Mid-Autumn Festival Mooncake collection features seven gift boxes and one hamper that comes complete with a selection of limited-edition mooncakes and a mix of classic GODIVA signature chocolate pieces. Plant-based mooncakes anyone? Green Common has launched two new vegan mooncake gift sets. The Vegan Custard Mooncake Set priced at S$54 stars a plant-based rendition of the classic mooncake. Hainan Story introduces a Hainanese Traditional Savoury Mooncake that is equal parts sweet and savoury. No less than 13 ingredients including tangerine peels, fried shallots, sesame seeds and melon seeds. Or the Salted Mixed Nuts Mooncake that is stuffed with a variety of premium nuts. The Hainanese Kopi Walnuts White Lotus Mooncake with Single Yolk is made with the same coffee powder that is served on The Hainan Story’s premises. The Coconut Gula Melaka and White Lotus Mooncake is a local spin with coconut bits and palm sugar. White lotus paste is laced with coconut for bite with a distinctive caramelised sweetness of Gula Melaka.

InterContinental Singapore unveils a collection of snow skin mooncakes featuring traditional and floral tea infusions with chocolate truffle centres, along with six varieties of handcrafted baked mooncakes.

Macallan 2021 Mooncakes by Raffles Hotel

Partake in the traditions with the exclusive The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old Snow-Skin Mooncake that has been crafted in collaboration with Raffles Hotel Singapore. Each mooncake is infused with rich milk chocolate cream and The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old.

A box is retailing at S$128. The Raffles Hotel Singapore Mooncake Booth is open daily from 9 am to 8 pm at the North Bridge Road Atrium of Raffles Arcade for collection of online mooncake orders. Deliveries are available at a flat fee of S$40 per location.

To enjoy a full Double Cask experience, complement the mooncakes with a dram of The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old and The Macallan Double Cask 18 Years Old. They are available at The Macallan E-boutique or The Macallan’s Raffles Boutique.

I only had a bottle of the 12 years old Sherry Oak Cask at home.

Old Seng Choon

New inventive flavours such as the Black Truffle Red Lotus Paste with Bakwa Bird Nest Pandan Gula Melaka and the Hae Bee Hiam Red Lotus Paste have been launched by Old Seng Choong. They are presented in two elegant teal and magenta boxes and a limited edition luxe version called The Black Edition with a top up of S$10. Customised engraving of the gold plate on the cover is also available with a minimum purchase of 200 boxes in any colour.

Peninsula

The Peninsula launches in 2021 Mooncake Collection overseen by Michelin-starred Chef Tang Chi Keung. These legendary Mini Egg Custard mooncakes are priced at S$83 per box of eight pieces. They are made following The Peninsula’s very own recipe that was created in 1986. Only premium grade duck eggs, butter and coconut amongst other ingredients are used.

Two new flavours include the Walnut and Fig Flavoured Egg Custard and Red and South Date Lotus Seed Paste can be found in the Star Chef Mooncake Gift Box at S$118. The Mini Walnut and Fig Flavoured Egg Custard Mooncake contains walnuts from the USA and dried figs from Turkey, pared with the delicate and fragrant egg custard. The Mini Red and South Date Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake is subtly sweet and highly nourishing.

New chocolate flavoured snowskin mooncakes include the Mini Truffle, Mini Hazelnut Delight, Mini Blackforest Classic, and Mini Tiramisu.

Regent Singapore’s snowskin collection this year features the Amalfi Limoncello &. Basil, Kyodo Grape and Kyoto Dry Gin, Gryphon Garden of Regent and Gryphon Green Tea with melon Seeds.

The best selling flavour Signature Black Sesame Paste makes a return with a stunning juxtaposition of cushion-soft pearlescent skin and a jet-black filling of finely ground black sesame. There are also the White Lotus Paste with Salted Egg Yolk and Melon Seeds, Durian while the Durian snowskin mooncake makes a return with bittersweet Mao Shan Wang flesh purée. The 100% Pure Mao Shan Wang Durian Snowskin Mooncakes from Royal Durian were my favourite durian Snowskin mooncakes this year They are made with hand-peeled durians that are imported daily from Pahang, Malaysia. Even the box is inspired by constellation and dry-ice smoke effect when opened. Each box of eight pieces is priced at S$118 with a flat delivery fee of S$8 per location

Si Chuan Dou Hua celebrates mid autumn festival with moon cakes that come in a gift box with a wooden handle and a pouch containing the Chinese restaurant custom tea blend noble that will be served to all guests who dine at Si Chuan Dou Hua’s restaurants.

Baked mooncakes include the classic White Lotus Single and Double Yolks, an onyx black Charcoal White Lotus Macadamia Nuts, a Lychee Paste with Rose. Mooncakes are priced from S$68 for a box of four pieces.

Swensen’s brings back its pioneering mocha-snow skin ice cream mooncakes with a newly-improved, first-of-its-kind chewy mocha-like skin. There are eight flavours available and are priced at S$10.90 per piece of S$39.80 for a box of four.

Two sets are available at S$39.80 each. The Festive Set features yam maple macchiato, black milk tea and chempedak flavours. The Sweet Spot Set features sticky chewy chocolate, strawberry, cookies ‘N’ cream and yam flavours.

Swensen’s has collaborated with The Art Faculty to launch the limited-edition Furoshiki wrap packaging for the Box of 4 mochi-snowskin Ice Cream mooncakes in limited quantities. The Marmalade Pantry’s mooncake pantry has always been impressive and this year it is presented in a form of a beautiful woven rattan webbing and scarlet red PVC leather bag with a wooden handle. The limited-edition bags come in two sizes and can be repurposed to hold everyday essentials for any occasion.

The baked mooncakes are crafted with a Low sugar and no lard recipe and are available in four gift sets. TungLok’s mooncakes are presented in a specially-designed packaging that boasts vibrancy, adding cheer to the mid-autumn celebrations.

Using lotus paste made from 100% pure carefully handpicked lotus seeds,TungLok’s mooncakes are made with 100% pure peanut oil which is fragrant and high in monounsaturated “good” fat. The lotus paste is also 25% lower in sugar.

The TungLok Premium Box contains four luxurious Double Yolk White Lotus mooncakes. A hidden compartment reveals a set of well crafted set of tea ware. It is priced at S$168+ for four pieces. Thye Moh Chan’s Teochew mooncakes feature evergreen baked signatures of both familiar and exciting new flavours as well as an exquisite fresh creation – Momoyama mooncakes. Momoyama mooncakes are a wholesome Japanese wagashi-inspired baked creation with a unique delicate skin made with white kidney bean paste. Xin Cuisine

Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant at Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium introduces two new flavours created by Dim Sum Chef Cheung Kin Nam. The Sea Salt Caramel Praline Snowskin Mooncake in Yellow and the Green Tea Paste with Chrysanthemum Praline Snowskin Mooncake.

The perennial favourite is Xin Cuisine’s best-selling Peranakan Durian Snowskin Mooncake that is encased in an iconic purplish blue hue.
