Friendster Offers New Social Discovery & Gaming Platform in Southeast Asia


25 April 2012, Manila – A decade ago, Friendster was introduced to the world as an early adopter of online community engagement. Users could share video, photos and connect with others.

In 2009, it was acquired by MOL Global Pte Ltd an e-payment and e-lifestyle provider from Asia and was synergized with its other businesses/expertise. MOL redesigned Friendster last year and introduced the Beta site to the public. Users were given the opportunity to try out the new features such as their new games and new user interface, while constantly making improvements and adding in new features and content.

MOL is in the business of Media and payment products.


Today, Friendster has evolved into a social discovery and gaming platform which combines search, content discovery and social functionalities. Users can enjoy a plethora of games from multiple genres as well as exciting new reward concepts.
