TomTom Multi-Sport GPS Watch is a versatile sports watch that will be able to track your routine exercises like running in the open or on the treadmill, cycling and even swimming for sports geeks that want to record all their progress.

The design is trendy, slim and the belt can be easily removed from the watch unit, making it easy to clean after a sweaty run or cycling. The touchscreen control to turn on the back light have greatly improved from the Nike+ Sportwatch. And I am loving the new control pad that seems bulky at first, but turn out to be a better & swift control than touchscreen gestures.

Unlike most sport watches or daily activity tracker, TomTom Multi-Sport GPS Watch comes with a long lasting battery life that will last up to 3 weeks on a single charge (if you are not using the GPS features frequently). That for me is a plus point as I use it as a regular watch so the last thing I want is to constantly charging every week or every few days.

With built-in GPS, it is easy to track & review your run or cycle route on a map after uploading the data to TomTom’s MySports account. The GPS will take about 30 seconds to a couple of minutes to setup before each outdoor run or cycle as it needs to track the satellites for positioning. So if you want to setup the GPS faster, try standing in an open field.

The data which can be uploaded & viewed either via web browser or a mobile app on your iOS devices. Currently the mobile app is only available on iOS, no news on Android launch yet.

The only disappointment I have for TomTom Multi-Sport GPS Watch is the lack of a steps tracking which I will need to wear an additional daily activity tracker band like fitbit Flex to track my calories burnt during days I am not working out. But overall it is a cool & multi-functional sports watch that’s worth your consideration if you have more than S$300 budget.
