Singapore Airlines – Title Sponsor for Singapore Grand Prix

Singapore Airlines replaces SingTel as the title sponsor of this year’s Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix which is in its seventh year. The sponsorship is for an initial two years with the deal discussions between Singapore Airlines and Singapore Grand Prix since the end of last year’s grand prix.

The airline has also worked previously with Singapore Grand Prix through transportation sponsorships. Some of the other sports related sponsorships by Singapore Airlines includes the annual SIA Cup (horse racing), Singapore Sports Awards and the Official Airline of the inaugural Singapore Youth Olympic Games.

Singapore Airlines’ sponsorship of the grand prix is a lead up to Singapore’s 50th birthday in 2015.

The grand prix will take place from 19 to 21 September 2014. Singapore GP has also announced that Mayday will be performing in this year’s entertainment line up.
