M1 and ESPL will work with Gardens by the Bay to enable metaverse experiences that complement the Gardens’ physical offerings such as a metaverse concert in Gardens by the Bay’s Digital Twin, featuring an avatar of Singapore-based artiste DJ Red interacting with the audience against a virtual backdrop of Supertree Grove

Audiences with 5 G-enabled mobile devices will be able to watch music artistes perform in a real-time immersive environment. For the MICE industry, this adds a new dimension to physical exhibitions and conferences. Participants from around the world will be able to interact with the content and with one another in the metaverse. It also supports educational technology to bring curricula to life and capture the imagination of students through extended reality and gamification.

All M1 Plans are now on 5G

M1 also recently announced that all its mobile handset plans will come with True 5G for first time or re-contract customers. M1’s 5G Standalone network offers faster speeds, enhanced connectivity and close to real-time network responses. Existing M1 customers will be offered a free 5G SIM card upgrade as well as trade-in values for their old phones and upgrade to new 5G enabled devices.  Customers can head over to M1 Shop at Peranakan Place and test out the recently launched 5G-powered cloud gaming service, Zolaz

M1’s True 5G SA network covers about 90% of Singapore including CBD, Marina Bay Financial Centre, key town centres and high data usage areas including Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Chinatown, Clementi, Orchard Road, Pasir Ris, Paya Lebar, Sengkang, Tampines and Woodlands.
