AirAsia will fly the Singapore (SIN) – Krabi (KBV) route daily from Changi Airport Terminal 1 from 25 November 2013. With daily flights departing Singapore (FD2321) at 1.20pm arriving in Krabi at 1.55pm, you can enjoy the morning in Singapore and arrive in Krabi in the early afternoon with a lot of time to enjoy yourself in Krabi. However, flights depart Krabi (FD2320) at 10.15am and arrives in Singapore at 12.55pm.
Krabi, Thailand offers several world-class seascapes including Phi Phi Islands, Hong Islands and Hin Muang Diving site. Ao Luk, Mueang, Nuea Khlong, Khlong Thom and Ko Lanta districts offer many tourist attractions. Four national parks – Khao Phanom Bencha National Park, Bokkhorani National Park, Lanta Islands National Park and Khao Pra Bang Khram wildlife sanctuary each have different offerings for tourists. Other natural attractions include limestone caves, mangrove forests at Laemsak, Laem Karos, Tham Lod Nuea, Tham Lod Tai and Ao Luk District.
If you are a diver, you may want to visit Hin Muang, Hin Daeng. The best time to visit is December to April wtih February to March being the prime period. The best time to dive is from 10am to 1pm. There is plenty of red soft coral and fan coral on underwater rock cliff about 60 metres high which is also Thailand’s deepest. Hin Muang, the purple rock and Hin Daeng, the red rock is named because of the numerous purple soft coral found in the underwater cliff of 200 metres. Underwater life includes large fish such as the Manta Ray and the whale shark, the clown shrimp amongst many others. The best way to get there is through Sala Dan Boat Landing, Lantai Yai island for a distance of around 74 kilometres for a boat trip of about 3 to 4 hours.
Muang Rock (also known as Shark Point or Anemone Reef) has a sunken king cruiser ship and is located between Phuket and Phi Phi. This famnous dive site has a view of soft coral and colourful fish such as the Clown Anemone fish, Moray, Butterfly fish, Harlequin ghost pipefish, shrimp, crab and sea anemone. It is also the favourite spot for the Leopard shark. Here you can find the most Leopard Sharks in the whole of Thailand. Get there from Phi Phi don where you board a boat at Ton Sai Bay for 20km on a 45 minute trip. You can also get there from Krabi to Ao Nang in a 1 hour 45 minute ride with a distance of 35km.
