AirAsia X Rescues Stranded Air Australia Passengers in Thailand & Bali

19 February 2012, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – In response to the recent grounding of Air Australia, AirAsia X (D7 flights to Australia sectors only) will be waiving their base seat fare from Kuala Lumpur to Australia to rescue stranded passengers in Thailand and Bali.

Passengers will only need to pay taxes and charges starting from A$56 from Kuala Lumpur to Australia.

Upon presentation of a valid Air Australia ticket, passengers will be able to purchase a ticket to AirAsia X Australia destinations (Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth) for the cost of applicable taxes and charges only. The fares are to Gold Coast A$56, Perth A$61 and Melbourne A$64, subject to availability.

Baggage will be free for each passenger up to 20kg per person.
