Cathay Pacific has launched Green Friday travel deals, the airline’s twist to Black Friday, till 28 November 2021. The airline is offering complimentary double carbon offset to customers who book flights by 28 November 2021. The promotion includes discounted airfares from Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia to 25 destinations worldwide. Enjoy 10% off Economy Class tickets and 15% off Premium Economy and Business Class tickets. This is applicable for travel from 1 April to 31 October 2022. Earn up to 1,250 bonus Asia Miles.
The airline will automatically make attributable monetary contributions at no cost to the customer through Fly Greener, its own carbon offset programme. This will offset double the carbon emissions for every ticket booked on cathay pacific.com. Cash contributions will directly fund third-party validated Gold Standard projects to offset carbon emissions.
Cathay Pacific first launched the Fly Greener programme in 2007 and has since offset over 300,000 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide. That’s equivalent to flying about 1.3 million times from Hong Kong to Singapore in Economy class. Last year the airline launched its inaugural Green Friday promotion in the UK and Europe. In 10 days, it offset nearly 5,000 London to Hong Kong flights. This year the Green Friday promotion is extended globally.
