Drukair – Royal Bhutan Airlines, the national carrier for the Kingdom of Bhutan, has increased flight frequency for its Paro – Singapore route from two to three times weekly from 7 April 2026, bolstering Bhutan’s global connectivity.
From 16 May 2026, the airline will add a flight on Tuesday to the previous schedule of two departures on Thursdays and Sundays. Interim flights, subject to schedule changes and adjustments will depart Paro to Singapore on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday and return to Paro on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. After 16 May 2026, a seasonal adjustment will shift flight operations to the Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from Singapore to Paro, and Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from Paro to Singapore.

By adding a third weekly service, Drukair is simplifying the journey for long-haul visitors, particularly from the South Pacific and North America. In 2025, Singapore Changi Airport recorded an all-time high of 69.98 million passenger movements with Australia ranking among its top four markets. China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia were Changi’s top four passenger markets then, with North America registering some of the highest regional growth at 15.8%.
Australia is now home to Bhutan’s largest community abroad with approximately 37,500 residents. Daily, over 30 flights arrive in Singapore from Australia across multiple carriers including Scoot, Singapore Airlines and Qantas. The enhanced Drukair schedule ensures seamless connectivity for both the Bhutanese diaspora visiting home and Australia travellers eager to check Bhutan off their bucket list. Last year, visitors to Bhutan from the United States rose by 20% while arrivals from Canada increased by 22%. And Singapore offers the most efficient one-stop gateway via daily non-stop flights from New York JFK and Newark, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and five flights a week from Vancouver with Air Canada.
Drukair – Royal Bhutan Airlines serves 10 international destinations across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. Drukair also serves three domestic destinations within Bhutan and offers helicopter services with a fleet of three Airbus H130 helicopters and the Pilatus PC-24 Private Jet Charter to enhance its range beyond fixed-wing operations following a merger with Royal Bhutan Helicopter Services.
