Accor’s Sofitel brand opens the largest So SPA in the world in Sentosa Island, Singapore. What used to be Spa Botanica has undergone light renovations and refitting, preserving the colonial charm. So SPA took over Spa Botanica which closed its doors on 28 March 2014.
Unlike Spa Botanica, So SPA offers an inviting and socialising place that provides a very personal experience instead of the traditional sanctuary concept. So SPA also offers a socialising patio so that guests can interact with others which is also ideal for a group spa party.
There are 14 indoor treatment rooms, six outdoor pavilions with private gardens and unique indoor and outdoor treatment facilities. The mud pool and float pool with cascading waterfall provides you with an oasis to relax, meditate and clear your mind. There is also a special ladies’ only area within the spa gardens.
Signature treatments are inspired by local elements and exclusive to So SPA including a treatment based on four main cultures of Singapore delivering an intense experience of harmony and relaxation known as The Sentosa Massage. So SPA uses Parisian skincare brand THÉMAÉ for its treatments drawing inspiration from tea. THÉMAÉ products are created by a professional laboratory in accordance with stringent specifications with treatments formulated with the Compelxe des 4 Thés (4 Teas Elixer) by blending antioxidant tea, regenerating white tea, soothing red and stimulating black tea with pure spring water.
Another skincare brand used at So SPA is the Ayurveda inspired SUNDÃRI which pairs the purest botanicals with the application of the safest and most effective technology. The products are blended with organic ingredients with no synthetic fragrances or dyes. Only therapeutic grade essential oils are used in SUNDÃRI products.
So SPA sells the SUNDÃRI and THÉMAÉ range of skincare products as well as OL Factory Blends massage oils and essential oils and Get Happy organic oil body wash.
Treatments at So SPA start from S$100 with outdoor and indoor facilities included as part of the package. So SPA is open from 10am to 9pm with the last treatment at 8pm. The Outdoor spa garden opens from 9am to 7pm.
