Check in to a Bold and Buzzy Co-Living Space

Walk into lyf Georgetown Penang, and bam—you’re in a trippy orange wonderland where the vibes are always on point. The ever-energetic lyf Guards are ready to greet you, get you checked in, and basically be your hype squad for the stay.
The space? Huge. Think chill lobby vibes, a retail corner for cool merch, meeting rooms for serious-but-not-too-serious sessions, cosy lounges to catch up with your crew, plus a shared kitchen and laundry—because even on vacay, adulting happens.
Everything here has a fun and fresh name! The check-in counter? That’s Say Hi—because first impressions matter. Need to chill? The UNWIND Lounge has your back. Events happen at CONNECT, meetings go down in COLLAB, and foodies unite at BOND Kitchen, where residents swap recipes, try local flavors, and bond over good food. Oh, and laundry? That’s WASH & Hang—because even chores deserve a cool name.

Serving up major style with 144 trendy rooms, there’s a perfect fit for everyone—whether you’re flying solo in Good for One ( 17sqm Studio), vibing in One of a Kind (19 sqm Studio), sharing the fun in Side by Side Plus (28 sqm Studio Twin), doubling up in Two of a Kind (42 sqm 2-Bedroom), or going all-in with the crew in All Together (60 sqm 3-Bedroom). Designed for solo adventurers, besties, and bigger squads alike!
Get a room for as low as RM308+ per night! Join Ascott Star Rewards (ASR) for free and unlock VIP perks all year long.

We stayed in a 28 sqm Side by Side Plus Studio Twin (Room 330) during the grand opening in January 2025. Right as you walk in, there’s a chill little setup with a two-seater sofa, coffee table, shoecase, and TV—perfect for kicking off your shoes, dumping your shopping haul, or diving into some late-night snacks.

The bathroom? It’s basically the great wall of vibes—separating your chill hangout zone from your cosy bedroom. Step into a high-pressure rain shower (or go handheld, we don’t judge) and lather up with Ideology’s Botanical Shower Gel, Shampoo & Conditioner. Trust us, you’ll step out feeling fresh AF and smelling absolutely chef’s kiss. Save the bath bombs for another time—no tubs here, just epic showers to keep it quick and refreshing. Left your toothbrush and toothpaste at home? No stress, no mess. Disposable ones are provided.
And forget bulky closets—this room is all about no-fuss open storage with designated spots and hangers. Who needs doors when you can keep it breezy, right?

What’s in the room? Only the essentials. You’ve got an in-room electronic safe to keep your treasures locked up, an IDD-enabled phone (for when you actually need to make a call), an electric kettle for those late-night cuppa cravings, and a hair dryer to keep the vibes immaculate. Your caffeine fix? Sorted—with all the coffee and tea must-haves.
The mini fridge is totally empty, just waiting for your snack stash. And instead of bottled water, there’s a sleek refillable flask—just swing by the pantry near the lift lobby to top up with filtered water. Hydration? Check. Oh, and that pantry? It’s got a microwave, sink, and trash point too. Basically, you’re all set!

Your key card isn’t just a room pass—it’s your VIP ticket to all things lyf! Score a free mini Espresso Martini to kick off your stay, snag a fudgy brownie from The Ang Mo Brownie Co. at Biso Specialist Bar, or treat yourself to a scoop of gelato when you grab a drink at Drunken Gelato. Plus, enjoy 10% off your dine-in faves at Once Coffee Cafe and RM8 off select goodies. Perks on perks—because why not?
Work out so you can eat and drink more in Penang

Level 2 is where the vibes shift—whether you’re diving in for a quick swim or hitting the gym for a sweat sesh. The pool’s got just enough space for some power laps, plus window views of the ‘hood. And with moody purple and orange lighting? Yeah, it’s giving sexy night swim energy.

Meanwhile, the gym keeps it real—because let’s be honest, most of us are here for the Char Koay Teow (duck egg included) and the drinks. The lighted BURN! signs on the ceiling? Just a friendly reminder to earn that next feast.
Wash and Dry if you need to at lyf Georgetown Penang

Laundry, but make it aesthetic. Doing your washing is kinda a vibe. Enter WASH & HANG, the self-service laundry spot that turns a basic chore into a low-key social sesh. Spin your clothes while you scroll, sip on a kopi peng, or chat with a fellow lyf resident—why should fresh laundry be the only thing getting aired out? Fold, fluff, and flex that ‘I’ve-got-my-life-together’ energy, all while soaking in the cool, casual community feels. RM10 per wash per dry.

Press away with an ironing board and iron ready for you in this wrinkle-free zone. Be seen in the Wash and Hang

The Garage Georgetown is your ultimate foodie playground, seamlessly linked so you can grab a tea fix from Chagee or explore a lineup of awesome eats! 🌟 Chow down at MOJO JOJO for a funky Asian-European fusion, dive into Yu Village by Edo Echi Group, or feast at Zai San Bei. Craving Japanese? UMI-UMI has your back. For a steamy hotpot sesh, 海纳百川 Beef Steamboat brings FuZhou flavours, while Me’nate Steak House serves up meaty perfection. Oh, and if cars are your thing, Lotus Cars Penang has a slick showroom—peep their latest EV while you’re at it!

The market fish congee at MOJO JOJO is basically Nasi Lemak Risotto — a creamy, dreamy fusion of Malaysian flavors with coconut milk, peanuts, crispy anchovies, and a punchy sambal. One bite and I was hooked—finished it in record time. The breakfast menu? Small but mighty.

Kenny Hills Bakers has been blessing carb lovers since 2014, and now, they’ve finally landed in Georgetown, Penang (their tenth outlet in Malaysia celebrating their 10th anniversary) —because why should Kuala Lumpur have all the fun? You’ll find them at No. 4, Jalan Penang just behind lyf Georgetown Penang, slinging fresh, buttery croissants, drool-worthy pastries, ridiculously loaded sandwiches and coffess so good it might just change your personality daily from 10 AM to 10 PM. The hype is real, and so are the snaking queues (but trust us, so worth the wait). The vibes? Cosy, a little rustic, and totally Instagrammable. Whether you’re here for an aesthetic brunch moment or just flexing a takeaway box of flaky goodness, one thing’s for sure—you’re leaving with zero regrets (and maybe a few extra calories).
We had a tiramisu and a peach strudel. Wish our stomachs had the capacity for more!
