Singapore Airlines is launching non-stop flights between Singapore and London Gatwick Airport in June 2024. It will operate the long-haul variant of its Airbus A350-900 aircraft five times-weekly. The aircraft features 253 seats in three cabin classes, with 42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class and 187 in Economy Class.
This will add to the current four-times daily services to London’s Heathrow Airport, bringing the total number of flights to the United Kingdom’s capital to 33 weekly services from today’s 28 weekly services. The national flag carrier of Singapore also operates five-times weekly services to Manchester Airport.
SQ310 will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, subject to regulatory approval. The inaugural flight will depart Singapore at 11.55pm and arrive in London on 21 Jun 2024 at 6.25 am local time on 22 June 2024.
The return flight SQ309 will depart Gatwick Airport on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The inaugural return flight will depart at 10.15 am local time on 22 June 2024 and arrive in Singapore at 6.20am on 23 June 2024.
London Gatwick Airport is ideal for travellers looking to explore the capital and South East of England. The airport also offers transport services into Central London, with trains connecting travellers directly to major hubs including London Blackfriars, London Bridge, City Thameslink, St. Pancras International, and London Victoria.
This addition of Gatwick increases the number of European destinations in the SIA network to 14. The other 13 destinations include Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London (Heathrow), Manchester, Milan, Munich, Paris, Rome, and Zurich.
