DROPS is Skyscanner’s latest app-exclusive feature to provide inspiration and help travellers find the best deals. Log into the Skyscanner app and automatically access new DROPS every day. The collection of flights is from a nearby airport that has dropped in price by at least 20% that day compared to the last seven days.
Skyscanner found that Wednesday was the most popular DROPS day in January and 38% of all DROPS were published before the workday before 9am. Bangkok tops the most-dropped destination lists followed by Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Denpasar, Tokyo, Seoul, Chongqing, Osaka and Ipoh.
Tokyo ranks the number one for the biggest dropped destination with an average saving of S$397. The average savings from DROPS in January was S$214. Average savings for Seoul was S$288 and Phuket S$202.
