Starwood Hotels and Resorts have partnered Virgin Australia’s Velocity Frequent Flyer offering new benefits to members of both Velocity Frequent Flyer and Starwood Preferred Guest.

Velocity Frequent Flyer programme is the first in Australia to partner Starwood and joins over 30 airline partners globally in SPG’s list of airline partners.

SPG members can transfer their Starpoints to Velocity Frequent Flyer Points for each eligible stay with a one-for-one Point transfer rate. To celebrate the launch, you can now earn 2,000 Starpoints for every two-night stay at a participating Starwood property in Asia Pacific, up to a maximum of 6,000 Starpoints. Register at spg.com/velocity from now till 31 March 2014 for stays before 31 May 2014 to participate. On top of this, Virgin Frequent Flyer members can enjoy SPG member dining discounts from 15% from now till 31 May 2014 at participating restaurants and bars in Starwood properties in Australia.

Four Points by Sheraton will also be bringing its Four Points by Sheraton Best Brews programme to Virgin Australia Lounge in various locations. Enjoy a selection of beers and learn about Best Brews.Available from 4 to 7pm in various locations:

  • Sydney Domestic Airport – 27/28 February 2014
  • Brisbane Domestic/International Airport – 6/7 March 2014
  • Melbourne Domestic Airport – 13/14 March 2014
