Pulse by Prudential App To Offer Accessible Healthcare & Simpler Financial Planning

Prudential plc announced partnerships with Smarter Health and Privé Technologies at the 2021 Singapore Fintech Festival today. These partnerships will expand Prudential’s health and wealth offerings on Pulse by Prudential, an artificial intelligence-powered mobile app.

Pulse is a part of Prudential’s strategy to provide affordable and accessible healthcare and to make financial planning simpler for everyone throughout Asia and Africa. It was launched in Malaysia in August 2019. It is now available in 19 markets and 11 languages in Asia and Africa. It has been downloaded over 30 million times.

Accessible Healthcare with Smarter Health

The partnership with Singapore-based Smarter Health will offer Prudential’s Pulse App users in Singapore and The Philippines access to a directory of specialist doctors and health screening services. They can make an appointment online. Smarter Health services already available on Pulse include an AI-powered symptom checker, health assessment tool, and online consultation services with certified doctors, specialists and health experts. These solutions are offered through global and local partnerships with health-techs from around the world. They include UK-based Babylon Health, Indonesia-based Halodoc, Malaysia-based DoctorOnCall and Singapore-based MyDoc.

Simpler Financial Planning with Privé Technologies

The partnership with Singapore and Hong Kong-based Privé Technologies will support Pulse users in their financial planning journey. Privé’s digital tools will allow assess to Pulse app users’ financial needs and receive suggestions for wealth planning and portfolio management. These will be made available in Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand in 2022.

Pulse users in Singapore, Thailand and The Philippines currently have access to a personal AI digital assistant trained to respond to users’ queries on financial planning and a Knowledge Centre containing bite-sized information resources. There is also a ‘360 View’ that offers a single view of Prudential customers’ insurance plans with the company.
