FairPrice Super has introduced 35 FairPrice Fresh Pork Counters since September this year, offering shoppers 20 different pork cuts, including bone-in loin, hind hock, muscle, pearl soft bone, shoulder butt, sweet and sour or tail, amongst others.
Shoppers can request their pork cuts to be diced, chopped, minced or butterflied. Ask for recipe recommendations best suited to the different cuts.
FairPrice obtains its pork from Malaysia, and the harvesting and processing take place within Singapore, ensuring daily delivery of fresh cuts to the counters. In addition to prime cuts, these counters provide a selection of exotic cuts. When prepared with care, the equally delectable and nutritious trimmings offer diverse culinary possibilities. The exotic cuts are meticulously cleaned, sealed in trays, and conveniently stored in the pork chiller for easy accessibility.
Aunty Ah Hoon, a seasoned female butcher with more than four decades of experience at FairPrice, manages the 35 FairPrice Fresh Pork Counters. Despite her petite stature, she demonstrates formidable strength as she skillfully chops up a variety of pork cuts.
