The Halia

Every second and last Sunday of the month, head down to the Halia Restaurant at the charming Botanic Gardens for Jazz Nights at the Halia. Be entertained by headliners such as Singapore jazz sensation Claressa Monteiro and Richard Jackson.
Claressa’s singing career of over two decades has seen three albums produced as well as performances at events such as the Singapore Arts Festival and Heineken Jazz Under the Stars. Claressa performs every second Sunday of the month and is accompanied by The Rhythm Section.
Ohio-born Richard Jackson is a featured artiste at the SingTel Singapore F1 Grand Prix Inaugural Night Race in 2008, and has performed in many jazz festivals including the Les Nuits Du Jazz Festival in Nantes, France as well as the CHIJMES Jazz Festival. He will perform with The Halia’s resident Caravan Jazz Band every last Sunday of the month.
Enjoy a relaxing weekend dinner in the outdoor deck while the live jazz band entertains you from 7 to 8pm (1st set), 8.30 to 9.30pm (2nd set) and 9.45 to 10.30pm (final set).
The Halia went through a facelift in October last year featuring a new show kitchen and a revitalised dining room. It’s Chef de Cuisine Reynaldo Arriola joins with a 5-year stint in France. You should try Chef Reyanldo’s signatures which include the Tian of ripened tomato, pine nut, guacamole, mango salsa, shiso and braised courgette, the Sauteed risotto soja, mascarpone and parmesan, poached oysters in natural jus and the Solid Chocolate air and white truffle snow.

Jigger & Pony
Enjoy strong classic cocktails created with craftsmanship and precision at Jigger & Pony. Designed like a gentleman’s bar, there is an air of sophistication yet you feel relaxed here. Chill out with your friends and try out the variety of cocktails. Our favourite is the whisky cocktails. The Still at 22 Dempsey
This lounge offers 22 signature avant garde cocktails, alcoholic floats, wines as well as grilled bar snacks. Try out Wishlist, a concoction of whisky, crème brulee and milk with three scoops of Bailey’s Root Beer ice cream, the Artist’s Special Martini, a refreshing tropical blend of apricot brandy, Midori, rum, passionfruit and lime, or the Passionfruit Fizz a creation of gin, passionfruit, ginger beer and a dollop of vodka yuzu sorbet. The Still also offers over 100 labels of wine and champagne.
Signature snacks of the lounge includes Bacon Wrapped Dates & Mozzarella Cheese, juicy roasted dates and hunks of mozzarella cheese blanketed in crispy strips of pan-fried bacon, the Squid Ink Breaded Mozzarella Sticks or the Beer Battered Smoked Oyster and Mozzarella Sandwich with Spicy Tomato Sauce.
Happy Hour : Enjoy 1-for-1 promotions from 5pm to 9pm daily. Enjoy the live jazz, pop and acoustic music by local singer-songwriters Amanda Tee, Dawn Ho and others on Tuesday to Sunday nights. Join in the singing at the Open Mic sessions hosted by Amanda Tee on Sunday nights and let Kumar entertain you every Saturday night.
