12 October 2011, Bangkok – Congratulations to 79 organisations and individuals of the 22nd Annual TTG Travel Awards 2011 of which 21 took home the signature Hermes trophy for the first time at the annual regional event held on 6 October 2011 in Bangkok.
49,000 online and print voting form votes were garnered from readers of the Asian, Chinese, Indian and TTG Mice and BT Mice China publications of TTG Asia Media’s Publishing Group.
The first travel agency to be inducted into the Travel Hall of Fame went to Lotte Tour after winning the Best Travel Agency-Korea for a decade.
14 of last year’s 24 new winners kept hold of their titles inuding Centera Grand at CentralWorld as Best Meetings and Conventions Hotel and InterContinental Manila, the Best City Hotel in Manila. Air India was replaced by Kingfisher Airlines as Best South Asia Airline while previous year’s winners in the airline segment continued their reign this year.
