Cocotte - Toulouse Sausages and Slow Roasted Vine Tomatoes and Garlic

New Weekend Brunch at Cocotte in Wanderlust Hotel

Cocotte - New Weekend Buffet

25 May 2012, Singapore – Opened almost 2 years ago, Cocotte restaurant and bar, created a big buzz among local foodies wanting some authentic and rustic French cuisine. Located at the lobby of the popular and chic Wanderlust hotel at Dickson Road, Cocotte continues to give us good reasons to visit and indulge. A completely new ala carte brunch menu is available every weekend from 11.30am – 3pm.

The menu is comprehensive and extensive with a wide choice of eggs, crepes, sides, pastries, desserts and drinks.

Start with the refreshing Summer Punch cocktail (S$20, serves 4) made of diced red/green apples and orange in a mixture of ginger ale and ginger beer. Other interesting beverages include the French 75 (S$22), which is gin, lemon juice and bubbly, or Kir Royale (S$28), a concoction of  crème de casis and bubbly. Or get your caffeine fix from their La Pavoni coffee machine, a traditional piston-driven system for brewing the finest coffee.

For eggs, the Brandade Egg Cocotte (S$25) is indulgently created from creamy homemade salt cod, mashed with potatoes and fennel. Equally indulgent is the Foie Gras Egg Cocotte (S$24) served with beet relish. If you prefer something simpler, go for the Omelette with either Sauteed Mushrooms and Truffle Oil (S$18) or with Ratatouille (S$18).

Cocotte serves both sweet and savory crepes. Relish the Smoked Salmon and Creamed Spinach Crepe (S$22), served with crème fraiche and chives or the Smoky Bacon, Egg and Gruyere Cheese Crepe (S$20). For dessert, treat yourself to the Suzette Crepe (S$18), served with caramel orange sauce  flambéed with Grand Marnier or the Salt Caramel Crepe (S$14).

Complement your meal with sides like the Toulouse Sausages (S$10) and Slow Roasted Vine Tomatoes and Garlic (S$8). You could also share a traditional Nicoise Salad (S$18) of fine beans, anchovies, olives, tomatoes, tuna and hard boiled eggs or Cocotte’s popular Fresh Pear and Bleu D’Auvergne (S$16), a mixed salad tossed in lemon-hazelnut dressing with fresh pears, toasted hazelnuts and Bleu D’Auvergne cheese.

The brunch menu also includes a Croque Monsier (S$16) with brioche, bechamel, di jon mustard, ham and gruyere. Top it with an egg and you get a Croque Madam (S$18). For those with a sweet tooth, the Pain Perdu (S$16) is a must try. This is described as “Lost Bread” served with freshly whipped Chantilly and a homemade cherry glaze, with generous amount of fresh berries.

Cocotte is located at 2 Dickson Road.
