Syndicated brand tracker YouGov Brand Index continuously collects data on thousands of brands every day. Last month, it examined rankings of around 50 leading brands within the financial services and insurance categories between March 1, 2023, and February 29, 2024. The brands were filtered by female former and current customers and then ranked using an overall score calculated as an average of Impression, Quality, Value, Customer Satisfaction, Recommendation and Consideration scores. Base size is equal to 100 or more. Learn more about BrandIndex.

DBS topped YouGov’s Brand Equity Rankings among all Singaporeans is the next most favourably viewed brand amongst females (45.0) followed by Visa (41.6), POSB Bank (40.3) and Mastercard (39.7)

FWD follows in second (45.7), Great Eastern is ranked third overall among women (44.6) as opposed to fourth among men. Rounding off top five is Prudential (38.2) and Singlife (37.7)

FWD Singapore Partners Tune Protect Re for Air Asia Travel Protection

FWD Singapore Pte Ltd has partnered with Tune Protect Re Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tune Protect Group Berhad to underwrite ‘AirAsia Travel Protection’ since 2 April 2024. Through this partnership, FWD Singapore will now cover AirAsia customers flying off from Singapore, with comprehensive travel insurance when they opt in for the ‘AirAsia Travel Protection’ while purchasing their air tickets.

Singlife Is Now a Fully Owned Subsidiary of Sumitomo Life

Singapore Life Holdings Pte Ltd (Singlife) is now a fully owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Life Insurance Company (Sumitomo Life). The transaction valuing Singlife at S$4.6 billion builds upon Sumitomo Life’s initial investment in Singlife in 2019. This hasn’t affected Singlife’s operations, its name, brand management team and products.

Singlife is one of the top six insurers in Singapore based on total assets of S$14.4 billion as of 31 December 2022. Among the top ten insurers in Singapore, Singlife recorded the highest year-on-year asset growth.

Previously, Singlife acquired 75% of Aviva Singapore in September 2020 and was named Aviva Singlife initially.
