Novotel Singapore Robertson Quay has opened beside the Singapore River, bringing a new Accor identity to the 336-room hotel at 1 Unity Street.
Designed for business and leisure travellers, families and groups of friends, the contemporary hotel introduces Novotel’s “Longevity Everyday” philosophy through spaces and experiences supporting better sleep, balanced dining, movement and meaningful connections.
The opening marks the latest chapter for a riverside property that has carried four hotel identities since welcoming its first guests in 2009.
Before becoming Novotel Singapore Robertson Quay, it operated as Park Hotel Clarke Quay, Riverside Hotel Robertson Quay and The Robertson House by The Crest Collection.
Novotel Singapore Robertson Quay at 1 Unity Street
Novotel Singapore Robertson Quay sits within the Robertson Quay neighbourhood, close to Singapore’s Central Business District, Clarke Quay, Fort Canning Park, Orchard Road and Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Guests can explore the restaurants and bars along Robertson Quay or follow the walking paths beside the Singapore River towards Clarke Quay and Boat Quay.
Accor describes the property as a riverside retreat combining contemporary comfort with references to the neighbourhood’s colonial-era history. Its official hotel listing confirms that the property has 336 rooms and suites and a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool.
336 Rooms and Suites with City and River Views
The hotel’s 336 guestrooms and suites range from 24 to 48 square metres. Accommodation options include rooms with city, river and panoramic views. Executive Rooms come with access to the Executive Lounge, while the more spacious Executive Suites have a separate living area, bathtub and kitchenette.
In-room amenities include espresso machines and filtered water dispensers, helping to reduce reliance on single-use plastic water bottles. The hotel’s design combines warm, contemporary interiors with subtle references to the heritage of Robertson Quay.
Serai Dining Serves Singaporean and Peranakan Flavours
Serai Dining is the hotel’s all-day restaurant. It begins the day with a generous breakfast spread and live cooking stations. The restaurant later transitions into a more refined dining experience featuring Singaporean and Peranakan flavours. Its menu celebrates local culinary heritage through familiar dishes and recipes developed around traditional rempah spice pastes.
Located beside the outdoor swimming pool, Pomelo Pool Bar serves citrus-inspired drinks and relaxed poolside dishes throughout the day.
These concepts replace Entrepôt and Chandu Bar, which operated during the property’s time as The Robertson House by The Crest Collection. Swimming Pool, Fitness Centre and Reading Room
Novotel Singapore Robertson Quay has a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool for guests looking to unwind or maintain their exercise routines. A 24-hour fitness centre includes dedicated areas for yoga and mindfulness.
The hotel also retains a Reading Room, providing a quieter environment for guests to relax. Curated neighbourhood recommendations encourage visitors to explore Robertson Quay, the Singapore River, Fort Canning Park and nearby cultural attractions. The Reading Room continues an idea associated with the property’s Robertson House identity. Under The Crest Collection, the space was known as the 1823 Reading Room and was designed as a place for conversation and social gatherings.
Meetings and Events at Robertson Quay
The hotel has four flexible meeting rooms with natural light and contemporary audiovisual facilities. The largest room, Robertson 4, spans 101 square metres and accommodates up to 66 guests. An outdoor event space measuring approximately 180 square metres is located beside Pomelo Pool Bar. It can be used for coffee breaks, receptions and informal networking sessions.
The hotel’s proximity to Singapore’s CBD and Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre also makes it a convenient base for corporate travellers and event delegates.
Four Hotel Identities Since 2009
The building at 1 Unity Street has gone through several branding, management and ownership changes.
It opened as Park Hotel Clarke Quay in 2009. In June 2013, Ascendas Hospitality REIT leased the property to Park Hotel CQ under a ten-year arrangement. Singapore Court of Appeal records confirm that Park Hotel CQ operated the property at 1 Unity Street as Park Hotel Clarke Quay. The lease was terminated in August 2021 after the operator defaulted on rent and other payment obligations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The property was subsequently renamed Riverside Hotel Robertson Quay and placed under a hotel management arrangement involving Ascott. Following a phased refurbishment, the hotel reopened in October 2023 as The Robertson House by The Crest Collection.
The 336-room property became the first Asia-Pacific hotel under Ascott’s heritage-led Crest Collection. Its design drew inspiration from the history of Robertson Quay and Singapore’s former role as a trading entrepôt.

CapitaLand Ascott Trust Divests the Hotel for S$360 Million
In May 2026, CapitaLand Ascott Trust announced that it would divest The Robertson House by The Crest Collection to an unrelated third party for S$360 million. The sale price represented 4 per cent above the property’s book value and an exit yield of 2.3 per cent. Net proceeds were expected to reach S$341.7 million, while the trust expected to recognise a net gain of approximately S$38.1 million.
The divestment announcement did not publicly identify the third-party buyer. Accor is the hotel company behind the new Novotel branding and operation, but this does not necessarily mean that Accor owns the building.
Novotel Expands Its Singapore Presence

Liza Tan, acting General Manager of Novotel Singapore Robertson Quay, said the hotel was created as a warm and contemporary riverside property where guests could recharge, connect and explore Singapore at their own pace.
