2022 red packet ang bao tiger singapore collection

2022 is the Year of the Tiger. Just like the fierce-looking feline, we should fight off all obstacles we may face ahead and bring a PAWs~perous year for all. And hopefully, things will just get better soon. You can check out last year’s red packet designs here. Farewell, the year of Ox and hello the year of the Tiger.

This is the time of the year when the team at SUPERADRIANME.com look forward to seeing the best Ang Bao (red packet) designs for the Lunar New Year. It’s always joyous to see innovative and clever designs that will put a smirk on the ones who receive these envelopes of cash. Traditions can be fun too. Click on the “Table of Contents” below to head to your preferred theme.

TIGER DESIGNS

The tiger only gets its limelight once every 12 years. So it’s nice to collect some of these feline designs to remember this special year. Some may look fierce but a lot of them are pretty cute too. Which are your favourites? Please let us know in the comments at the end of this post.

National Heritage Board

The eighth edition of the National Heritage Board’s Museum Roundtable Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign sees two new MR members – Geylang Serai Heritage Gallery and Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery increasing the collection from 33 designs last year.

National Heritage Board full collection for 2022

This year NHB has collaborated with Instagram artist Ms Emily Luo, who loves cats. Emily’s Instagram account features drawings of cute cats. Emily shares that she enjoys drawing cats and the tiger is a big cat. This collaboration is a meaningful one for Emily because she feels that many in Singapore are not aware of the different museums here. The art on these red packets are attractive to children and hopefully, this would also motivate adults to bring them to visit the museum.

ODE TO ART

Ode To Art has collaborated with famed Thai contemporary illustrator and designer Phannapast. Born and raised in Bangkok, Phannapast is known for her whimsical works inspired by Asian fairytales and her obsession with nature. This year she is collaborating with Junya Wanatabe for his 2022 collection. She has also worked with brands such as Gucci and Nike.

MSIG

General insurance provider MSIG presents its ‘Celebrating Biodiversity’ themed Chinese New Year red packets for 2022 with a design that is inspired by the wonders and beauty of biodiversity. Elements and shapes of nature are blended with a bold, vibrant mix of the brand’s corporate hues of Red & Blue, and a touch of Japanese accents in line with the brand’s Japanese lineage. Only FSC paper is used and plastic lamination or plastic packaging is omitted. Paper bands hold the red packets together. MSIG has also added three new CNY digital stickers to the “MSIG for Biodiversity” digital sticker pack featuring a tiger zodiac, the prosperity fish and the fortune cat.

With e-gifting on the upward trend since it was introduced, coupled with ongoing Covid restrictions for CNY visitations, MSIG expects the adoption of e-angpao will be further accelerated. The fortune cat digital sticker with the text “Ding! This is your e-angpao alert from me!” was hence specially created. Download the stickers on Sticker.ly or GIPHY.
